The 6th edition of the prestigious ARISE IGALA Leadership Awards & Lectures which held at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Abuja on Saturday, May 25, 2019 brought on stage The Legendary Inikpi as written and directed by one of Africa’s foremost playwright, Prof. Emmy Unuja Ikanaba Idegu.
The play as performed by the Department of Theatre, Film and Carnival Studies of the University of Calabar kept the audience spellbound with artistry, creativity, discipline and theatrics that effectively brought out the clear message of the selfless sacrifice of Princess Inikpi thereby throwing up the challenge to us all in search of selfless leadership and followership towards the development of Igalaland and of course, Nigeria.
Without mincing words, the production of THE LEGENDARY INIKPI clearly pointed to the fact that Professor Emmy Ikanaba Unuja IDEGU is one of the undisputed illustrious sons of Igalaland and by far, our most distinguished playwright who is making us proud on the continent of Africa in the creative world.
