EASTER: CELEBRATING THE SACRIFICES OF JESUS, PROF. STEPHEN OCHENI CALLS FOR THE REAWAKENING OF OUR MINDS.

As Christians worldwide mark the sacrifices of Jesus Christ particularly His death on the cross of Calvary, Prof. Stephen Ikani Ocheni, former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria calls on the people to emulate the sacrificial life of Jesus Christ as a good example of how one can be of good impact to his people, community, nation and the world at large.
Professor Stephen Ocheni emphasized the importance of the reawakening of our minds at this critical time considering the various challenges confronting us as a nation.
“The sacrifices of Jesus Christ is to give us hope for better days ahead. So, as we celebrate today, we must not loose faith that better days are coming and we must not be distracted”.
. “Let’s keep renewing our minds with positive news and not all the negatives flying around us day and night”, he appeals to the people.
While speaking with The ARISE IGALA Team on the importance of the Day, Prof. Ocheni was quick to remind the people that lots are happening in the country positively that we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be locked out.
While congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday anniversary, Prof Ocheni pointed out that President Tinubu was doing great to give hope to Nigerians, especially at the economic fronts and the provision of infrastructural facilities.
The former Minister enjoined Nigeria to pray for continued peace, unity, progress and development of the country, urging the people to be more nationalistic on affairs that borders on the corporate existence of Nigeria.
Prof. Ocheni urged Nigerians to keep faith with the country so that just as the resurrection of Jesus Christ took many unaware in those days, so shall the country rise again to its full potential and that hope of better days should keep us moving and be very positive in all our dealings as patriotic citizens.
“May this Easter celebration renew our hope”, he prays.
