KOGI INTERNATIONAL CARNIVAL DEBUT, EAST SIDE TO SHOW THE WORLD THEIR CULTURAL HERITAGE IN ANYIGBA THIS WEDNESDAY

History was made yesterday as the maiden edition of the Kogi International Carnival debut amidst colourful display of cultural shows. The colourful take off speaks of the things to expect in the seven days slated for this carnival.

The special date set aside for Kogi East to show the world their rich cultural heritage is Wednesday, December 4th. According to Chief Hilary Amodu who is chairing the Eastern affairs in this cultural venture, the event will avail the world a unique chance to witness the richness of Kogi East culture and how they can be of great economic value to the state and the nation by extension. Chief Hilary encourages the general public to turn up massively to witness special cultural dances, masquerade displays and to have taste of the people’s delicious cuisines.

This Wednesday at the Prince Abubakar Audu University’s stadium, it’s going be culturally loud, he assures.

The ARISE IGALA team captured beautiful moments and images from the opening ceremony yesterday in the state capital, Lokoja where the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Salifu Joel Oyibo declared the ceremony open on behalf of the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo.
