THE STORY OF ARREST AND MANY OTHERS: NO ONE IS SAFE ANYMORE
The shocking reality is here to stay with us; the demarcating line between what is true and fake is becoming thinner than ever. This is made possible due to the manipulative use of the social media and the irrationality of most users consuming completely everything they see as they come.
As it is today, many wake up everyday to worrisome news and stories about themselves (no thanks to social media). Most of these developments they learn first from the social media. All that the negative news mongers and the fake storytellers need are just little elements of truth or resemblances of it, that’s all. And, once any of such negative news is released, the airspace will catch fire instantly and so, many would fall for the narrative they present. The worst part is that most social media users wouldn’t care to think right or even be rational before joining the league of the “News Breakers”. Everyone is eager to spread bad news these days – “forwarded as sent”. Shockingly, even the well educated and very exposed that ordinarily are expected to be thorough are guilty of this, too. It’s a trend, an ugly one. It’s really doing lots of damages.
Again, a careful look at the unfortunate development, tells deeply the state of the heart of many towards others – they are waiting to see you go down and such news is one means they unconsciously (or deliberately) express their inner desire. If not, a bad news about someone you know, who you can call to confirm things from hits the airspace and you join the spread, instead. It only shows you have been expecting him to go down. Yes, it tells a lot about you and the true state of your mind as well.
The man has been arrested many times on the pages of the news (mostly online). The news will go viral and the man is still himself after all. Even if he was, what’s the joy therein to see him go down? Is there something personal? His arrest will not bring food to your table but because of the state of your heart, you keep using your “hard earned” money to spread the negative news. Ironically, most of the people spreading the news online don’t even read the link they share just because of the headline. If they do and they see how the news are twisted, they would probably not join the negative news mongers. But, again, we judge the books always by their covers – we run too much with the headlines instead of the news contents. It’s eating us up, badly.
As it stands today, everyone is a potential victim. The day a negative news will drop about you, you will be shocked how and who will be spreading them. The greatest shocks will come from areas and people you think are your allies.
Welcome to the new normal. Prepare your mind always as anything can happen in a second and all your good works and contributions will be forgotten in a twinkle of an eye. This is our world today.
